One of my wishes is to share some of the knowledge I’ve gotten from my mentors. My partner (Jonathan) and I brainstormed on a potential book collaboration, pooling together our wealth of experiences in the stock market and sharing our specialised insights into how ordinary investors could analyse industries better.

While there are several investment books which teach how to invest, we aimed to be different by focusing on real case studies of companies. I’ve included two companies which made me over $100,000 and above. We also included guides on analysing hotels, banks, retail and REITs industry. It’s going to be 180 pages of packed value. We can’t wait to release and share it with everyone, especially my readers!

This is our hard work and we’re very excited to share it with everyone. A friend of mine kindly designed this book cover for me.

We needed to find someone who could take professional photographs. We searched around online and we discovered Triplets Productions!

The team consists of Dennis and Alwin. According to their profiles, they’ve done work in wedding, corporate, close-up, products and personal. I decided to take the leap of faith and engage them for a portfolio of photos for the book! I never expected much.

Here are three reasons why Triplets Productions team is excellent:

#1 Dedication

I was chatting with Dennis and Alwin over the requirements of this work. Initially, I believed we do not have to meet prior to the photoshoot. Everything can be discussed over WhatsApp before we meet. Dennis insisted on a meet-up. During the session, Dennis and Alwin explained their experiences and philosophy of photography. Instead of dictating how the photoshoot would turn out, he allowed us to express what we would to capture. Then, he would facilitate. In this approach, our photoshoots do not look “manufactured”, it’d capture the personalities of Jonathan and myself.

We spent over an hour exploring various poses and deciding on the type of outfits required. After the meet, Alwin followed up by sending us various photos so that we can apply our creativity to adopt them or change it up a bit. This is the quality of their service and the effort to understand the client’s requirement. 

Then, I understand why we had to meet! Opps…

In some way, I know that the results of the photoshoot would be something satisfactory.

#2 Detailed

Since everything was discussed in advance, we were able to proceed very smoothly on an actual day. It was very natural, fun, easy-going. This is one of the perks of meeting your photographer in advance, and I  highly recommend this process.

Since we paid our make-up artist and the use of the studio for fixed hours, we would like to get many things done as possible. Since there was alignment already, time was saved.

The make-up artist did an incredible work for us. I was against the idea of getting a make-up artist but I’m convinced by Dennis/Alwin to go for quality.

After make-up, you could see a huge difference in my appearances! It was smoother and it looked good for the camera. These guys are the experts and their advice allowed the outcome to exceed our expectations. When we ran out of ideas, Dennis/Alwin supported us by doing a few suggestions and even giving us the flexibility to explore more poses. They are not just normal photographers, but they further value-add using suggestions so that we can look at our best.

#3 Decisive and Honest Pricing

I tend to fear some photographers who would quote you a cheap price to hook you in. But that’s not how a customer should choose their photographers. When you pay a cheap price, it does not mean you are getting quality or that is the final price. When we set out to find photographers, we knew we wanted to get quality and honest ones. Price was my concern, I don’t like to overpay.

Triplets Productions behaved differently. They did not quote us a cheap price to hook us in, then charge us more for other things. For some others, the final invoice could be much higher than the first price. Instead, Triplets Productions told us about the costs involved upfront and we felt comfortable with it as well. We went ahead and there were no additional charges during and after our photo shoot.

I wasn’t sure whether I paid for quality… until the photos arrived.

Jonathan and I were delighted and we would recommend them to our friends!
