The Love Of A Dog’s Owner
I went to chit chat with my friend for over 1.5 hour. She shared with me how she took care of her dog and that really inspired me to the core about how love and warmth can alter an animal or human’s developments.
Almost 15 years ago, she spotted an abandoned few-months-old female dog near a HDB’s lift. The dog was in a cage with a pack of dry food. Thinking that the owner would come back, my friend waited for 30 minutes. However, it seemed like no one is going to pick up the dog. She took it back home to take care of it.
She fed milk to the dog then gradually moved up to steamed salmon. Currently, the dog enjoys mixed dishes of chicken, beef, salmon on alternative days. Each meal will be accompanied by a small bowl of premium quinoa. The dog enjoys regular love in form of daily teeth brushing and fur combing.
Because of the tender love that the dog received, the obedient dog always repay back by doing special things for her family.
The dog would never pee or poo in public places, she would do it only at home. When there is sweeping or mopping, and she would automatically go up the sofa and be patient about it. The dog would wait for every family member to be back home every night before sleeping. It wags its tail in anticipation of each family member’s arrival. Very protective of the family as well. A very lovely dog.
Today, the dog is 15 years old plus, but her health is pink. Beautiful fur, her eyes are full of energy and youthfulness. Many people mistaken her dog as a 8 or 9 years old dog. It seemed like she never aged at all.
This is the result of ultimate love and attention towards a pet.
Using this as an example, end of the day, I think our environment plays an important part and it can alter the growth tracjectory of our lives. We can choose to create our environment.
